Position Overview

The Program Lead Role:  - Summer Camp Jobs 2024

The Program Lead serves alongside the Site Leader (location specific) as a Drobots ambassador, a primary onsite liaison, and the additional communicator and “customer care” relationship manager between our company and the school’s director of summer camp programs. In addition to providing direct instruction to campers, the Program Leader is responsible for managing the staff, curriculum, materials, inventory and daily operations of one or more Drobots Company programs (Drone Camps; StemQuest Camps; Grades K-2 LEGO STEM Camps) at our partnered schools in your area. This role also includes, but is not limited to the supervision, responsibility, and communication of and with all Drobots instructors, attending campers and families, oversight of Drobots programs, and the overall safety, positivity and educational delivery of the company’s programs.

Responsibilities

Job Description:  

As a Program Lead, your primary responsibilities are:

  • Creatively teach cool, innovative concepts to campers in grades K-8
  • Use passion for instructing children to inspire and serve as role model for campers
  • To be punctual, professional, and flexible at all times
  • Provide leadership to campers and instructors
  • Coach and train team members on location
  • Working hands-on with campers for the entire camp day

 

Additional Tasks Include:

  • Attend and participate in company training(s) (possible travel involved) and help implement learned concepts at regional training with local staff.
  • Proactive communication with Headquarters and school camp directors.
  • Maintaining positive communication and relationships with the on-location Drobots staff and points of contact; parent communication; medical and emergency procedures manager.
  • This position is expected to spend the majority of their time instructing campers along with the additional leadership responsibilities outlined.

Wage:
This position calculates compensation at $16.00/hr

Job Location: Westminster School, 1424 West Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta, GA  30327

 

Locations & Dates:

Camp schedules vary by location and operate for 4-9 weeks between May 28 and August 23. We hire teams based on availability to work complete camp weeks (Monday - Friday), so please consider your availability and your ability to arrange reliable transportation before applying. Specifics of your schedule will be discussed in your live interview with our talent team.

 

Technology Experience Necessary:

Little to none. Our training accommodates those with a positive attitude and the willingness to learn.  However, prior experience working in or with technology-related clubs, competitions, programs, or organizations (i.e.: First Robotics, SeaPerch, or other Robotics competitions) is preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to communicate clearly, maturely and compassionately with students and families
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and exceptional enthusiasm all day, every day, for the duration of the summer

 

Experience & Education:

  • At a minimum either a Graduate Degree or a Teaching Certificate along with 1+ years of experience working with children.
  • Summer Camp experience (preferable, but not required)
  • Extremely outgoing and professional personality
